Huayuan caviar recognized by foreign company

From March 19 to 20, the quality control expert group of Metro Group visited the Frenchina Sturgeon Caviar Co., Ltd. (Huayuan Kunhai Food Company) in Huayuan County, Xiangxi Prefecture, and conducted inspection and audit on the caviar processing plant.

Metro Group is a German enterprise, a world famous retail and wholesale supermarket group, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises, with branches in 32 countries around the world. The expert group conducted a rigorous inspection of all departments and processes involved in the sturgeon breeding as well as the production, processing and export of caviar products through on-site inspection of production processes, and records, as well as inquiries.

After two days of meticulous and careful review, the expert group fully affirmed the processing plant. They believe that the plant has established a complete product quality and safety management system and a traceability system from breeding to production, meeting its quality requirements and possessing the ability for continuous improvement. The rich cold water resources make Huayuan County a good place to raise sturgeons.

Since its establishment in 2008, Frenchina Sturgeon Caviar Co., Ltd. has adopted international ecological healthy aquaculture technology and the advanced quality and safety management system, and passed the certification of “Healthy Aquaculture Demonstration Farm of the Ministry of Agriculture”. The company is committed to raising sturgeons and producing caviar. It can produce several tons of caviar and more than 300 tons of sturgeons every year at a high yield period. At the same time, it adopts the model of “company plus base plus farmer”, and provides technical training and product marketing services, in a bid to form a sturgeon farming base with Huayuan County as the center and covering the surrounding areas, and promote the development of the cold-water fish industry.
